Musgrave Group, Ireland’s largest grocery distributor, is undertaking a significant expansion of its Central Distribution Centre (CDC) in Kildare. The project will increase the facility’s gross floor area from 29,106m² to 41,891m², representing a substantial upgrade to support growing logistics and operational demands.

The extension will include:

• A warehouse expansion featuring dock levelers on both the north-east and south-west elevations.
• A two-storey main office extension to accommodate increased administrative capacity.
• A two-storey extension to the existing dispatch and goods-in office.
• A new single-storey transport office.
• An extension to the vehicle maintenance unit, enhancing fleet servicing capabilities.

CField Construction has been appointed as the main contractor for the project, overseeing all aspects of the build. Supporting this major development, McSherry Electrical has been appointed to provide the full suite of electrical services for the Musgrave CDC extension project. Their role includes the design and installation of electrical systems tailored to the needs of a high-performance logistics facility, continuing their legacy of excellence in commercial and industrial projects.
