McSherry Electrical will play a pivotal role in the €150 million upgrade of the Vartry Water Supply Scheme, a vital infrastructure project that will secure clean drinking water for over 200,000 people across north Wicklow and south Dublin.

As part of the redevelopment of the Vartry Water Treatment Plant, McSherry will deliver a full electrical scope that includes LV distribution, MCC installation, plant and process electrical systems, and power factor correction to ensure efficient and reliable operations. McSherry Electrical will also install lighting and emergency lighting, fire detection systems, general services, ICT infrastructure, access control, intruder alarms, disabled refuge systems, and comprehensive earthing and bonding.

These systems will be critical in supporting the new treatment plant, each designed to meet the highest standards of safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance. McSherry Electrical’s contribution will help future-proof the Vartry scheme, ensuring it continues to serve the region with high-quality water for generations to come.
