Aviva Stadium – LED Lighting Installation
In collaboration with our trusted partners at Musco Lighting, McSherry Electrical proudly delivered a state-of-the-art LED floodlighting system for the Aviva Stadium in Dublin with a Capacity 51,711 spectators.
Recognised globally for hosting everything from Rugby, Football, and American football to world-class concerts and major international business conferences, Aviva has always prided itself on delivering the best possible stadium experience. As one of 12 venues for EURO 2020, the stadium’s lighting system was upgraded for the tournament to reach FIFA A, UFEA Elite A, Premier League and World Rugby standards.
This advanced system was designed to elevate the matchday experience. An exciting new entertainment experience will greet athletes, performers, and fans attending events at Aviva Stadium, after the installation of cutting-edge special effects lighting technology. The new entertainment lighting was installed by McSherry Electrical and the system includes 52 colour-changing, red-green-blue-white (RGBW) LED fixtures strategically located throughout the stadium’s bowl to illuminate the roof structure.

Electrical scope of work:
- Strip out of existing Metal Halide System. Design, supply, install, test and commission of a FIFA Class 5, UEFA Category A Stadium Sports Lighting System for international TV broadcast.
- Colour changing RGBW and moving spotlight system.
- DMX control system, LV infrastructure and Comms. LED technology
