DSD Athletics

The Dundrum South Dublin Athletics Club (DSD AC) operates a state-of-the-art multisport campus located on Tibradden Road, Rathfarnham. This facility includes a World Athletics-standard 400-meter, 8-lane outdoor track, complete with full field event infrastructure.

As part of the development of its world-class athletics campus in Rathfarnham, Dundrum South Dublin Athletics Club (DSD) partnered with Musco Lighting and McSherry Electrical to deliver a cutting-edge LED floodlighting system.

This advanced setup features 18.29m and 21.34m lighting columns, each equipped with Musco’s high-performance 1200W and 1500W LED luminaires, engineered to deliver a consistent 200 Lux across the entire facility. The system provides uniform, glare-free illumination for the 400-meter running track, long jump area, and surrounding sports zones, ensuring optimal visibility for athletes during training and competition, even in low-light conditions. Designed with sustainability and energy efficiency in mind, the lighting system significantly reduces power consumption while enhancing safety and performance.
